Luthmore Integrated Electric Boilers

Luthmore systems represent a genuinely different approach to electric heating.

Unlike conventional electric boilers, they combine high-output electric heating with integrated battery storage and managed electrical demand in one platform. That makes them far more capable than many people expect when they hear the term “electric boiler”.

With up to 10kW of heating output and up to 30kW of direct hot water, they offer a level of performance that is comparable to many modern gas combi boilers – without requiring a gas supply.

For the right property, that is a significant step forward.

Why This Technology Matters

Electric heating has often been associated with limited output, high running costs or poor hot water performance.

Luthmore changes that conversation.

By combining battery-supported demand management with strong domestic heating and hot water capability, these systems offer a serious option for properties where gas is unavailable, undesirable or no longer part of the long-term plan.

This is not low-output electric panel heating and it is not a basic resistance boiler with limited domestic performance. It is a much more advanced system designed to deliver controlled electric heating with combi-level hot water capability.

That makes it particularly relevant in homes where an electric-only solution is needed, but day-to-day comfort and hot water performance still matter.

Hot Water Performance That Changes Expectations

One of the most impressive parts of the system is its hot water capability.

Luthmore can produce 138 litres of hot water at 60°C from a single charge. Once mixed down to a normal usable outlet temperature, that is equivalent to around 210 litres of usable hot water.

That level of delivery helps put it in the same conversation as many modern combi boilers and makes it a far more practical electric option than most homeowners would expect.

For properties where hot water performance is a major concern, that makes a real difference.

Who It Can Help

For suitable properties, Luthmore can be an excellent solution where:

  • Gas is not available
  • An electric-only approach is preferred
  • Battery-supported energy management is attractive
  • Renewable integration is planned
  • A modern alternative to fossil fuel heating is required

In those situations, it offers something genuinely useful: strong hot water delivery, controlled heating output and a more advanced approach to electrical demand.

Performance Still Depends on Design

Even with innovative technology, the fundamentals of heating design do not change.

The property still needs to be assessed properly. Heat loss still needs to be calculated accurately. Emitters still need to match room demand.

Electrical supply, cable sizing and consumer unit suitability still need to be checked carefully.

That is why these systems must be specified properly rather than simply fitted in place of something else and expected to work.

When integrated correctly, Luthmore systems can provide stable heating performance, excellent domestic hot water output and a more modern way of delivering electric heat.

A Serious Electric Alternative

For the right customer, this technology is exciting because it closes a gap that has existed for a long time.

It gives suitable homes access to a high-output electric system that feels far closer to the experience of a modern combi boiler than most people would expect from electric heating.

That does not make it the right solution for every property. But where it is appropriate, it can offer a genuinely impressive combination of heating output, hot water performance and intelligent demand management.

For homes moving away from gas, or for properties where gas has never been available, that is a serious proposition
