Soft tissue manipulation in Brighton & Hove
Instrument-assisted soft tissue manipulation (IASTM) is a soft tissue therapy for muscles, tendons and ligaments, and can be a useful addition to joint manipulation. A smoothly shaped stainless steel tool is moved back and forth over areas where movement is restricted. This helps increase movement and blood flow in that area, and so improves how it moves.
Where IASTM is used
IASTM is used widely in elite sport and is well suited to problems in the knee, ankle and shoulder.
